Introducing IOX-KEYBOX
Digital Vehicle Access combined with Telematics

The IOX-KEYBOX locks your key fob inside a smart enclosure connected to your GO device — Fast Installation, No Soldering

Product Overview

What is the IOX-KEYBOX?

A smart enclosure that connects directly with the GO device — enabling secure, trackable fleet access without duplicate keys. The vehicle itself acts as a Faraday cage, blocking relay attacks and signal spoofing by design.

How to Get Started

From Order to First Access

Four steps from selecting your variant to granting your first driver access.

01
Select Your Variant
Identify your vehicle's key fob. The shape of the key and the lock/unlock button positions are what matter. Match them in the Catalog — or submit by Make/Model/Year.

02
Install & Wire
Self-install or have it professionally mounted. All wiring is included — connect to the GO device via the IOX harness and bracket-mount in the cabin.

03
Auto-Configuration
Once connected to the GO device, the Keybox pairs automatically. No manual configuration needed — it's ready in your MyGeotab portal.
04
Assign a Driver in MyGeotab
Assign a driver to the vehicle in MyGeotab. Once authorized, the Keybox unlocks the drawer, activates the fob, and logs every access event automatically.

Two Ways to Use the IOX-KEYBOX

Choose the flow that fits your operation — physical key access for your drivers, or a fully digital hands-free journey.

Flow A

Provide Keys to Your Drivers

Drivers take the key fob physically for their drive and return it after. The box validates the return.

1
Insert the key fob
The box arrives unlocked. Open the drawer, place the key fob in the molded tray, and close.
2
Driver takes & returns the key
The driver takes the key for the drive and drops it back into the box after. Done.
Take key fob out
Insert key fobbuttons up
ℹ️ Info
Use an NFC sticker on the key fob to confirm key return. The GO device will additionally validate the lock state of the vehicle.
Flow B

Fully Digital Journey

The key fob stays in the box permanently. Drivers never touch the key — access is granted and revoked digitally.

1
Insert the key fob, assemble the power adapter (KPC)
Place the key fob in the tray and install the Key Power Control adapter (if available for your fob type).
2
Box stays locked — always
The drawer remains locked at all times. Only authorized staff can access the key fob physically. Drivers interact with the vehicle digitally only.
ℹ️ Info
The KPC adapter de-powers the key fob whenever the vehicle is locked — preventing any unauthorized push-to-start use.
Variant Selection Guide

Choosing the Right Keybox Variant

The Keybox's tray and mechanical arms need to fit your key fob. Make sure to look at the position of the key fob buttons — then you are covered.

Compare your fob's shape and button layout to the diagrams below, then check off the list on the right before opening the catalog.

The Core Principle

Each Keybox variant has a custom-molded tray and actuating levers designed for a specific key fob shape. The levers must align with your fob's lock and unlock buttons. Focus on the fob shape and button positions when browsing the catalog.

Different fobs use different button layouts. The catalog shows reference photos for each variant — compare the Lock and Unlock positions on your fob to find the right match.

Not sure which variant? Submit by Make / Model / Year
Can't match your fob to a photo? Submit your vehicle list (Make, Model, Year) via the form at the top of the Geotab Keybox Catalog. The team — supported by WITTE:digital, Geotab's co-development partner — will determine the right variant for you.
